您知道通识教育是美国最常见的教育吗?美国有数百所专门的通识教育学院,还有更多的教育院校提供通识教育的课程。3月8日,EducationUSA上海有幸邀请到了一位从高中开始就赴美留学的校友——靳宇辰。靳先生在北京出生长大,15 岁留学美国,就读于马里兰州贝塞斯达的惠特曼高中,之后获得弗吉尼亚大学经济学学士学位和宾夕法尼亚大学沃顿商学院的MBA硕士学位。当晚,靳先生将分享他的海外教育经历以及美国通识教育如何帮助他找到真正的热情并为他的职业铺平道路。靳先生目前是居住在上海的创业者、音乐人、快板和脱口秀演员。靳先生还是上海纽约大学职业发展中心的讲师, 他是北美快板曲艺协会的创始人以及北京沃顿校友会的品牌副主席。
Did you know that liberal arts education is the most common course of study offered in the United States? There are hundreds of dedicated liberal arts colleges in America, with even more institutions offering a liberal arts program alongside other options. On March 8th, EducationUSA Shanghai is pleased to host Yuchen Jin who went to the U.S. for high school and earned his Bachelor’s degree, and Master’s degree in America. Born and raised in Beijing, Mr. Jin moved to the United States at the age of 15 and attended Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda, Maryland. He holds a B.A. from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Jin will share his overseas educational experience and how a U.S. liberal arts education helped him find his true passion and pave his career path. Mr. Jin is a musician, bamboo clapper rapper, and private equity investor based in Shanghai. Mr. Jin is also an instructor on career development with New York University Shanghai’s Career Development Center. He is the founder of ClapperAsia and the Vice President of Branding of the Wharton Club of Beijing.

目前我们不要求参加活动的观众佩戴口罩,但如果戴口罩让您更安心,我们鼓励您这么做。参加活动请提前报名。活动会准时开始,是否有余位视现场观众到场情况而定。如果您到达时房间已满,您可能将不被允许进入,即使您已经报名。目前,对于非注册的活动我们只能保证到达的前60名观众入场。
Masks are not currently required to attend Shanghai American Center events, but audience members are encouraged to feel comfortable wearing them if they wish. Please be sure to RSVP if you intend to come. Programs begin on time and seats are subject to space availability. If the room is full when you arrive, you might not be granted entry, even if you RSVP'd. We can only seat the first 60 guests at this time for non-registration event.
我们至少会在活动开始前15分钟启动安检流程以及入场。请您携带有效并带有照片的身份证件原件进入上海美国中心,证件复印件或照片将不被接受。
Doors will open and security screening will commence 15 minutes before the program starts. You must bring a valid physical photo ID in order to enter the Shanghai American Center (ShAC). Copies or pictures of IDs will not be accepted.
安检过程中,我们会对所有即将进入上海美国中心的物品进行扫描。请勿携带笔记本电脑进入上海美国中心,手机、iPad及其他平板设备、智能手表等允许携带。
All belongings carried into the ShAC will be scanned during security screening. While guests may not bring laptop computers to Shanghai American Center programs, portable electronic devices, such as mobile phones, iPads and other tablets, and smartwatches are permitted.

Press inquiries should be directed to the U.S. Consulate Shanghai Press Office. Additionally, audio or video recording of the program will not be permitted.
活动参与者永久性授权上海美国中心和美国国务院在包括互联网在内的任何合法的政府和非政府出版物中发布、展示、编辑、更改、复制或分发其肖像,并无需支付酬劳或者申请批准。
All program participants grant the Shanghai American Center and the U.S. Department of State permission to publish, exhibit, edit, alter, copy, or distribute their likeness in a photograph in any and all publications for Government or non-government purposes, including website entries and any lawful purpose, without payment, approval, or any other consideration in perpetuity.

Staff of the ShAC reserve all rights to refuse entry.
