广州多元与包容电影节

多元与包容电影节即将回归！我们一直致力于推进多元、公平、共融、可及。在2月份，我们将在广州美国中心举办以下两场电影放映，从不同层面讲述多元与包容主题故事, 赶快来这个电影节打卡吧！ 

第一场电影：《解药》（The Antidote） 

• 日期/时间: 2月9日，周四下午2:00  (下午1:30 入场)  

• 地点：美国驻广州总领事馆美国中心（珠江新城华就路43号，公务访客入口）  

• 电影介绍：由奥斯卡金像奖提名人Kahane Cooperman和六次艾美奖得主John Hoffman执导的纪录片《解药》，讲述了富有同情心的人们有意利用自身及其社区的资源来帮助弱势群体的故事，颂扬多元价值在我们社会中的作用。

• 活动以英语进行（影片提供中文字幕） 

第二场电影 :《行动中的女人》(Woman in Motion) 

• 日期/时间: 2月14日，周二下午2:00  (下午1:30 入场)  

• 地点：美国驻广州总领事馆美国中心（珠江新城华就路43号，公务访客入口）  

• 电影介绍：你可能知道，演员妮切尔·尼克尔斯(Nichelle Nichols)是剧集《星际旅行》系列里乌乎拉中尉的扮演者。但你可知道她在理工领域里也曾起到的先锋作用吗？上世纪70-80年代，尼克尔斯为美国宇航局发起了一场征召行动，招募了 8000 名全国精英，其中包括了后来首批在太空飞行的非洲裔、亚裔和拉丁裔男女宇航员。

活动注意事项

活动将用英文进行。为了保持“社交距离”，本次活动广州美国中心只能容纳40位观众，先到先得，满员后则不再允许入场，成功报名活动不代表一定保证可以入场，感谢您的理解。  

进入领事馆时，请携带身份证或护照原件。请勿携带相机或手提电脑。可根据请求为希望参加此次活动的残障人士提供合理的便利安排。请提前或尽快发电子邮件给[email protected]提交请求。  

如有身体不适症状者，请勿出席。我们将采取一切可能的措施来维护公共活动的安全环境。活动场所配备的先进新风过滤系统经过专门设计，可防止细菌和病毒在建筑物中传播。会场将采取严格的卫生措施，现场会提供洗手液和口罩。每次活动的参加人数将根据当前的公共卫生准则进行限制。  

请留意，美国领事馆可能会在活动期间拍摄照片和视频。虽然照片和视频可能会用于网络和印刷品，但在未经明确同意的情况下，我们会尽力排除活动参与者的任何可识别图像。所有的内容（图片、音频或观点）不会用于商业目的。谢谢合作。 

The DEIA Film Festival is coming back! We have been committed to promoting diversity, equality, inclusion, and accessibility. In February, we will show the following two film at Guangzhou American Center, telling stories about diversity and inclusion from different perspectives. The successful experience of the last three DEIA film festival has prepared us for the first in-person event after the COVID. Hurry up and check out this film festival! 

Screening 1    

Event title: The Antidote

Location: Guangzhou American Center, U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou  Language: The film has Chinese subtitles.  The event will be conducted in English. 
Introduction: Directed by Academy Award-nominee Kahane Cooperman and six-time Emmy winner John Hoffman, The Antidote tells stories of compassionate people intentionally leveraging the resources within themselves and their neighborhoods to uplift marginalized communities and celebrate the value diversity plays in our society. 
Language: The film has Chinese subtitles. The event will be conducted in English.

Screening 2    

Event title: Woman in Motion  

Date/Time: 2:00PM, Tuesday, February 14   (Door opens at 1:30 PM)
Location: Guangzhou American Center, U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou  
Introduction: You may know actor Nichelle Nichols played Lieutenant Uhura on Star Trek.  But did you know that Nichols was a leader in the STEM field, too?  In the 1970s - 1980s, Nichelle Nichols launched a national blitz for NASA, recruiting 8,000 of the nation's best and brightest, including the trailblazing astronauts who became the first Black, Asian, and Latino men, and women to fly in space.  
Language: The film has Chinese subtitles. The event will be conducted in English.

Additional Special Notices: 

This event will be conducted in English.  To maintain social distancing guidelines, the Guangzhou American Center will seat 40 visitors for this event. The event is first come, first served, and we will close when the event is full.  Reservation does not guarantee entry. Thank you for your understanding.  

Attendees will need to show their ID/passport to be admitted into the Consulate. No cameras or laptops will be allowed. Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities who wish to attend this event are available upon request. If you have any symptoms of physical discomfort, please do not attend. We will take all possible measures to maintain a safe environment for public events.  Our facilities have state-of-the-art air filtration systems, specifically designed to prevent the spread of bacteria and viruses in the building.  Strict sanitary measures will be taken at the venue and hand sanitizer will be provided. The number of attendees at each event will be limited per current public health guidelines, and all attendees should wear face masks for the duration of the event.   

Please note that the U.S. Consulate may record photographs and video during the event.  While photos and video may be released in future online and printed publications, all efforts are made to not include recognizable images of event attendees without their explicit consent.  Content (image, audio, or ideas) will not be used for commercial purposes.  Thank you for your cooperation.
